REVEREND TIMOTHY P. TAYLOR SR.

 

           Reverend Timothy P. Taylor Sr. is a father of three children and he is married to the former Gail Soanes since 1989. They reside in Brooklyn, New York.  He retired from his position as a NYC Correction Officer after twenty years in civil service in September of 2001. Reverend Taylor was licensed in June 2002, Ordained in May 2005 by Rev. Larry W. Camp at Bethlehem Baptist Church. He was elected Pastor of Hebron Baptist Church on May 7, 2006. 

Since his arrival at Hebron Reverend Taylor has developed leadership teams within the church, and implemented programs geared toward the spiritual, emotional and social development of the congregation. He has Instituted Sunday Live Streaming and established Churches By-Laws. Under Reverend Taylor’s leadership and working with the congregation in 2014 Hebron relocated to a new edifice that was paid in full. Since their relocation Hebron has renovated their no location, purchased a van and have done extensive community outreach

Reverend Taylor graduated with Honors in May of 2005 with a B.A. degree in Psychology from the College of New Rochelle, and he received a Master of Arts Degree in Theological Studies from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in September 2008. In May 2013 he was awarded a Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Richmond Virginia Seminary.

He is active in the National Baptist Convention USA, Empire Baptist Missionary State Convention where he presently serves as Vice-President for Area 8, Eastern Baptist Association, where he presently serves as the Kings County Vice Moderator, and on the Advisory Council. He previously served as President for the Baptist Pastors and Churches Union of Brooklyn & Long Island.
